Ferd B. Ensinger has served Bigelow Clients for over twenty-five years, offering his unique perspective on building sustainable, differentiable value in private enterprises.
Ensinger joined the firm as a Partner in 1980, following a distinguished career in life insurance where he served the Northwestern Mutual in field and home office and the Security Mutual of New York as Vice President of Sales. His original text on training and development has been copyrighted.
A disciple of differentiation in the valuation equation, his coaching of Bigelow Clients in the techniques of innovative management and marketing have earned an outstanding roster of corporate advocates. His critically-acclaimed writings include: "Why Mergers Fail"; "The Bored of Directors"; "Management by Culture or 'Cooler'"; "Leading vs. Managing"; "Brittle Employees"; "Mission Without a Cause" and "The Implementation Gap".
Ensinger's community service has run a unique gamut from opera to minor league baseball ... from public radio to public college ... from Chamber of Commerce to Church. He has been teacher and lecturer at Boston University, University of New Hampshire, and Northeastern University. He is a former Executive Director of the National Office of Kappa Delta Rho Fraternity, with ties to many of our leading colleges and universities.
Ensinger received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College. With his wife, Mary, Ensinger lives in Exeter, N.H. Extensive travel abroad has been almost as exciting as a special friendship with Ted Williams. Ensinger's unique career experiences have allowed him to meet other prominent figures from the Pope to Doug Flutie; from Norman Vincent Peale to John Glenn.
