Robert E. MacLeod has been a key talent in successfully advising and structuring value capturing engagements for Bigelow clients since joining the Firm in 2000. He has over 16 years of corporate finance experience including positions with the largest Wall Street investment banks, giving him a unique perspective on the M&A landscape. MacLeod provides Bigelow clients with an unsurpassed capacity to achieve their goals that is generated from his passion for working with owner-managed companies attempting to achieve lasting organizational sustainability.

MacLeod's sustaining high energy, sense of humor, and willingness to look at the investor side of the transaction has proven extremely valuable to Bigelow clients. He has confirmed an unusual ability and talent to wade into a client's complex multi-causal issues and emerge with a highly organized time sequenced gameplan to the desired destination.

Prior to joining Bigelow, MacLeod was a partner at Koffler & Company, a Los Angeles-based M&A advisory boutique where he specialized in family-owned enterprises. He has also held positions in the investment banking divisions of Merrill Lynch, Smith Barney, and Sutro & Company in Los Angeles and New York.

MacLeod received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Middlebury College, and his Masters of Business Administration, with honors, from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.

MacLeod lives in Rye, New Hampshire with his wife Kathleen, daughter Michaela, and twins Ian and Skye. He and his wife are great supporters of not-for-profit social service organizations, and he currently serves on the Board of Trustees of New Hampshire Public Radio.

Rob was the NCAA National Slalom Ski Champion while at Middlebury, and remains an enthusiastic outdoorsman who enjoys being in the weather all four seasons of the year.
